Nana Kwasi Boatey, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Publishing Company, has announced the immediate implementation of a 24-hour economy policy aimed at boosting the firm’s production capacity. He indicated that this initiative would involve hiring additional staff and increasing sales. During a handing-over ceremony, Nana Kwasi Boatey urged the staff to work together to ensure the successful execution of the policy.
“My first and initial commitment is to ensure that we will practicalize the President’s vision of a 24-hour economy almost immediately. Because I have seen that you are ready for it and I see no reason why we should not be able to double our production, double our sales, and double our staff.” The former CEO of the firm, David Asante noted that his tenure has seen a massive improvement in the revenue generation capacity of the Ghana Publishing Company.
“There is a Ghana Publishing Company Limited that has funds in its account. When I took over, we had GH¢80,000 in the company’s accounts. Today, we have millions of Ghana Cedis. The Ghana Publishing Company I inherited has now opened a new branch in Kumasi, located in the Ashanti Region. Previously, this company was debt-ridden and lacked the machinery necessary to fulfil larger contracts. However, we have now acquired various machines, which has positioned us to effectively execute most of our jobs.”
