We’ll use our Parliamentary majority responsibly – Fifi Kwetey

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to using its victory in the December 7 general elections as a platform to propel Ghana toward progress and prosperity. At a press briefing held at the party’s headquarters on Sunday, December 8, NDC’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey stated that the party remains focused on serving the nation responsibly, with its newly secured mandate.

In her address, Fifi Kwetey called on the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, to avoid unnecessary delays in declaring the election results. Emphasizing the party’s confidence in the election outcome, she asserted that the NDC’s victory was both decisive and undeniable. “We have secured a very significant majority and a majority that we aim to use responsibly and for the progress of the people of Ghana.

“The process as far as the presidential result is also concerned, we will urge the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa and her team to make sure the declaration is not unduly delayed because we know for a fact that nothing can be done about it because it is already in the bag.”
