Ghana will see development under JDM – Owusu-Bampah

Owusu Bempah Tells Mahama

A group of clergymen offered prayers for the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama at the De Icon Event Centre in Accra on Tuesday. The event was organized for the former President to engage with leaders of the Christian faith in the regional capital.

It also served as a special time of prayer, worship, and fellowship in the presence of God. Speaking at the event, Mr. Mahama shared his vision for the nation and sought the prayers and counsel of the esteemed Christian leaders. After the event, several of the religious leaders laid hands on the kneeling Mahama. Among them was the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Apostle Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah, who has been criticised on numerous occasions for being aligned with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In his initial remarks, Mr. Mahama expressed appreciation to the men of God for attending and gave special praise to Owusu-Bempah, whom he described as his good friend. When the group laid hands on the former President, the prayers were led by Rev. Owusu-Bempah.

“This is whom you have elected to lead Ghana at a time like this. No power can stop it. It is through you that this country will see development,” the preacher prayed.

Founder and leader of Royal House Chapel International, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Dr. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, Rev Kwaku Agyei Antwi, popularly known as Rev. Obofour, among others were present.

This marks the first major meeting of this kind by the NDC flagbearer with members of the clergy ahead of the December 7 polls.
