It’s a ‘one-touch’ victory for Bawumia – Mussa Dankwah

Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, has reiterated his organisation’s projection that former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remains the frontrunner in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries. In its final poll, released on January 23, 2026, Global InfoAnalytics forecasted Dr. Bawumia to secure 57 percent of the vote.

The survey ranked former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong second with 28 percent, followed by Abetifi MP Dr. Bryan Acheampong at 13 percent. Bosomtwe MP Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum garnered two percent, while former NPP General Secretary Engineer Kwabena Agyepong recorded no support. Conducted nationwide between January 20 and 23, 2026, the poll sampled 10,133 respondents across all 16 regions and 272 constituencies.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s The Point of View with Bernard Avle on Wednesday, January 28, Mussa Dankwah expressed confidence in the poll’s outcome. “Yes. Everything has been taken into account here, including those who are not disclosing. It’s a one-touch victory for Bawumia,” he said.

The NPP presidential primaries are scheduled for Saturday, January 31, across constituencies nationwide, with Dr. Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyepong contesting for the flagbearer position.
