The Ministry of Health will commence a nationwide recruitment of health professionals on April 16, 2026, following the receipt of financial clearance for the exercise. In a statement issued on April 2, the Ministry announced that the recruitment will be conducted at the district level to address specific staffing needs identified across health facilities nationwide.
The process will be decentralised and guided by a quota system to ensure equitable opportunities across all professional categories and graduating groups. The Ministry emphasised that the exercise will strictly adhere to approved budgetary allocations. Prospective applicants are advised to monitor official Ministry of Health and district health administration platforms for updates on available positions and application procedures, and to prepare all required documents in advance.
The Ministry further clarified that the financial clearance granted for this recruitment remains valid until December 31, 2026, by which time all hiring must be finalised. Authorities further urged qualified professionals to seize the opportunity, noting that the initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the country.
