As a regular traveler on the Tema-Sogakofe highway, I have noticed a giant signpost indicating the existence of a city named Saglemi, located just before Tsopoli. However, I have seen no evidence of human activity in this city. The Saglemi housing project was initiated by the first Mahama administration several years ago, but it was halted when the government changed. At that time, we heard about an ongoing court case regarding the project. After eight years of the former administration, there has been no update on the court case.
Now that the original government is back in power, I assumed the project would be completed. Unfortunately, two years later, the only development seen at the site is the huge signpost directing to a city that remains uninhabited. Whoever decided to put up that sign should reconsider the definition of a city; otherwise, that misleading signpost should be removed and replaced once the area truly qualifies as a city.
