KATH laboratory workers declare strike

Lab experts at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) have reported a plunk down strike starting Thursday, May 20, 2021. They are furious over a choice by the administration of KATH to present two clinical officials on the lab Services Directorate as Clinical Hematologists.

Reporting the modern activity to the media, Chairman of KATH Chapter for Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientist (GAMLS), Ernest Badu Boateng said the agreement was shown up after a crunch meeting with individuals. “From tomorrow Thursday to one week from now Wednesday, May 26 2021 all lab administrations would be removed; from the irresistible illnesses and examination lab and the blood donation centre lab. This implies COVID testing and careful cases that will require blood will end.

“Assuming our requests are not met by Wednesday, we will settle on the following line of activity to move the expert concealment and abuse”.

The gathering needs the executives of KATH to as an issue of earnestness remove the two doctors from the lab and reassign them.
