A fuel tanker overturned and exploded at Potsin Junction along the Kasoa–Winneba Highway in the early hours of Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The vehicle reportedly fell onto its side, spilling fuel that quickly ignited and spread flames to a nearby house. Eyewitnesses described how the fire rapidly engulfed the surrounding area, heightening fears for residents’ safety.

Fire officers have since secured adjacent buildings and are working to contain the blaze at the main site. Emergency response teams have not yet released official information regarding casualties or the scale of damage, and further updates are expected as efforts to control the situation continue.
