The death toll from the explosion at Odumase, near Konongo in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region, has risen to three. Two additional victims succumbed to their injuries after one person was confirmed dead following the incident, which occurred on Wednesday night.
Several individuals, including firefighters, sustained varying degrees of injuries. Authorities have confirmed that the injured firefighters and affected civilians have received treatment and been discharged, while about five victims remain hospitalized. Medical officials report that two victims in critical condition are being considered for referral to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
