22 new Mpox cases recorded in Ghana to bring total to 446

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 22 new cases of Mpox, bringing the country’s total infections to 446 as of August 25, 2025. The GHS reported that there have been no new deaths or hospital admissions, maintaining the national death toll at one. This update follows the report on August 14, which recorded 37 new cases, raising the total at that time to 409.

Health officials have explained that Mpox spreads primarily through close contact with an infected person. Symptoms of the disease include fever, skin rashes, and swollen lymph nodes. The GHS urges the public to maintain good hygiene and to seek immediate medical attention if they experience warning signs such as fever, headaches, body aches, or rashes.
