In a remarkable display of honesty and integrity, Mr Salifu Ibrahim, an employee of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) under Zoomlion Ghana Limited (ZL), has received widespread praise for returning a significant sum of GH₵20,000 to its rightful owner in Tamale, Northern Region. This commendable act recognized as an exemplary case of moral integrity, took place when Salifu Ibrahim discovered a large amount of money. Instead of keeping it for himself, he made the effort to track down the owner and return the funds.
When asked about his decision, Salifu Ibrahim explained, “It goes against my religion to take something that does not belong to me.” The owner, who prefers to remain anonymous, expressed deep gratitude for this extraordinary act of honesty. “I am overwhelmed with joy and appreciation for this selfless act,” the owner said.
