Walewale: Gunmen open fire on bus, two critically injured

Two individuals were reportedly shot when armed men opened fire on a bus travelling from Bolgatanga to Kumasi. The incident occurred near Walewale township on Tuesday, December 16. The bus, operated by Great Imperial Express with registration number GY 3199-21, is believed to have been targeted amid ongoing tensions in the area.

The driver and one passenger sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Walewale Hospital for emergency care. Police have confirmed the attack and launched investigations to determine the motive and identify those responsible. Updates on the victims’ condition and the progress of the inquiry are expected in the coming days.
