The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects and rescued several victims from organised cybercrime operations in Tema.
In a statement issued on February 12, 2026, the police explained that the operation was initiated under the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and was intelligence-led.
“Acting on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, a combined team from the Special Operations Unit and personnel from the Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters, led by ASP Grace Owusua Gyan, coordinated an intelligence-driven operation on February 2, 2026,” the statement read.
“The mission was aimed at rescuing kidnapped victims, apprehending suspects, and disrupting ongoing cyber fraud operations,” the statement noted. It identified the two male suspects as Robinson Endurance and Derrick Glory, who were arrested without resistance at Devtraco Estate, Community 25. The operation resulted in the discovery and rescue of 10 individuals allegedly held against their will and forced to participate in cybercrime-related activities.
Photographs of the suspects, victims, and recovered exhibits were documented for records and prosecution and subsequently shared with the media. The Okpoi-Gono District Police assured the public that further updates on the investigation and prosecution of the suspects will be provided in due course.
