The Savannah Regional Police Command has apprehended 27 individuals for drug-related offences during a special Christmas operation across the region. The arrests, conducted in Salaga, Damongo, Buipe, and Bole, formed part of intensified security and crime-prevention efforts over the festive period.

In a statement issued on December 26 via the Ghana Police Service’s official Facebook page, authorities disclosed that the suspects — including women — were found with various narcotic substances and dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. All 27 remain in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.
