A 54-year-old pastor has been remanded by the Accra Circuit Court over allegations of vehicle theft and document forgery. The accused, Pastor Hammond Love, is said to have stolen a Honda Civic valued at GH¢180,000 and falsified documents related to the car. He pleaded not guilty when he appeared before the court and has been ordered into custody for two weeks.
Presenting the case, Police Chief Inspector Ebenezer Teye Okuffo stated that the complainant, businessman Mr. Daniel Baidoo of SCC Weija, met Pastor Love in October 2025. The pastor reportedly claimed to be involved in vehicle sales and convinced Mr. Baidoo to trade his Honda Civic and GH¢30,000 for a Range Rover.
On November 7, 2025, Pastor Love, with two accomplices, allegedly seized the Range Rover from the complainant. Investigations revealed that the accused forged ownership documents for the Honda Civic and sold it for GH¢150,000. In his caution statement, Pastor Love admitted wrongdoing and promised to resolve the matter but failed to do so. The court has since remanded him pending further proceedings.
