An Accra High Court has ordered Patricia Aseidua, popularly known as Agradaa, to pay GH₵50,000 in compensation to Pastor Emmanuel Appiah Fumum over the unauthorised circulation of his nude images. Aseidua, also referred to as Evangelist Mama Pat, was additionally fined GH₵12,000 on each of four separate counts, with the sentences to run concurrently.
The ruling followed a plea-bargaining agreement reached between her legal team, the Office of the Attorney General, and the complainant, Pastor Fumum—also known as Appiah Biblical. At the court’s previous sitting, her lawyers had indicated that the plea negotiations were nearing completion.
Other accused persons in the matter are also seeking to enter plea-bargaining arrangements, while one has appealed against a ruling on a submission of no case. The case arose after the complainant reported to the police that his nude images had been broadcast on Agradaa’s Thunder TV and shared on social media platforms.
Agradaa, founder of the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, together with her co-accused Charles Omane, also known as One Gig, applied for plea bargaining and were scheduled to open their defence. A third accused, Enock Owusu Kissi, contested the court’s directive requiring him to present his defence.
Agradaa—already serving a 15-year sentence in a separate matter—faces charges of unlawfully distributing and possessing intimate images. Her co-accused are charged with abetment in relation to the broadcast of the complainant’s intimate images on Thunder TV in 2021.
