MTN MoMo hit by service disruptions

MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) has acknowledged ongoing technical difficulties that are affecting customer access to its services, following reports of intermittent disruptions. In a customer notice issued on Monday, January 26, the company confirmed its awareness of the situation and extended an apology for the inconvenience caused.

“We recognise the intermittent challenges you may be facing in accessing MoMo services, and our engineers are actively working to resolve them,” the statement read. MTN MoMo assured customers that updates would be provided once the issues are fully resolved, while expressing regret over the impact these disruptions have had on users.
