Kennedy Agyapong has urgency to fix Ghana’s problems – Kwaku Kwarteng

Kwaku Kwarteng, Member of Parliament for Obuasi West and a member of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team, has voiced strong confidence in Agyapong’s bid for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership, asserting that he has what it takes to ultimately become President of Ghana. In an interview with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV’s The Point of View on Monday, January 26, Mr. Kwarteng highlighted Agyapong’s sense of urgency in tackling Ghana’s pressing challenges. He further described him as a distinctive figure in politics, setting himself apart from his peers

“Kennedy Agyapong represents a different breed of politician. He is the only figure I recognise across the political spectrum with the capacity to disrupt the entrenched status quo that has hindered Ghana’s progress. That distinction sets him apart, and I believe he carries the right sense of urgency to address the longstanding issues holding the nation back,” he stated.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to elect its presidential candidate on January 31, 2026. Contestants in the race include Kennedy Agyapong, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ing. Kwabena Agyepong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong.
