MTN Ghana confirms data breach affected approximately 5,700 customers

MTN Ghana has confirmed that a recent cybersecurity incident has affected the data of approximately 5,700 of its customers. In a press release issued on April 28, 2025, MTN Group stated that while their platforms remain fully operational, they are taking the matter seriously and are closely monitoring the situation.

According to the release, MTN is currently working with cybersecurity experts to conduct a thorough forensic investigation to assess the full impact of the incident.
