He was formally enstooled as a chief in Adamorobe, a town in the Akuapem South Municipality of the Eastern Region, during a ceremony held on Friday, April 24, 2026. Traditional leaders conferred on him the stool name Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom II, designating him to serve as acting chief due to the advanced age of the substantive chief.
Highlights from the ceremony quickly circulated on social media, with videos showing the actor performing customary rites. In one clip, he appeared in a fugu paired with shorts—a choice of attire that drew both admiration and debate online. Since the announcement, many have taken to social platforms to congratulate him, celebrating his transition from entertainment into traditional leadership.
