Manhyia Palace has prohibited the unauthorised use of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles within the palace and its environs. The directive, issued in a notice posted on the palace’s official Facebook page on Saturday, August 15, takes immediate effect.
According to the palace, no drone or aerial operation will be permitted in the restricted zone without prior and explicit authorisation from the palace or the relevant authorities. It cautioned that any unauthorised flight would result in the confiscation of the equipment, and operators who flout the directive may face legal action.
Drone operators are therefore urged to secure the necessary authorisation before undertaking any aerial activity within the designated area.
