The Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Assin North by-election, James Gyakye Quayson, is receiving tonnes of congratulatory messages from supporters as he claims to have won Tuesday’s polls. Provisional results put him ahead of New Patriotic Party’s Charles Opoku and Liberal Party of Ghana’s Bernice Enyonam Sefenu.
The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) is, however, yet to declare official results of the by-election. But the 2020 Parliamentary Candidate took to his official Facebook page to thank the people of Assin North Constituency for giving him another chance. He has received congratulatory messages from some key party officials.
