The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four‑day planned maintenance exercise in parts of the Accra East Region, beginning Monday, August 10, and continuing through Thursday, August 13. The exercise will result in temporary power outages between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. According to ECG, the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the reliability of electricity supply in the affected areas.
- Monday: Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr. Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Twumasiwaa Hospital, Ability, and surrounding communities.
- Tuesday: Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction, and nearby areas.
- Wednesday: Parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot‑to‑Teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, sections of Madina, and Libya Quarters.
- Thursday: Achimota School and surrounding communities.
ECG has urged residents to take note of the schedule and make the necessary arrangements ahead of the outages. The company expressed regret for the inconvenience, emphasising that the planned exercise is essential to improving service delivery.
