The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed the power outages (dumsor) experienced in parts of the Greater Accra Region to the heavy rainstorm on Tuesday morning. The Electricity Company of Ghana, in a statement dated Tuesday, April 23, said it wishes to inform its cherished customers in the Greater Accra Region that “the heavy rainstorm experienced today, Tuesday, 23rd April, 2024 has caused outages within the distribution network.”
The power distributor further urged customers within the affected areas to note that their engineers are working assiduously to restore the power supply. Moreover, ECG said customers experiencing outages within these areas should contact their call center on 0302611611.
Also, affected customers can report to the nearest ECG office or reach them using the company’s social media handle, @ECGghOfficial.
“The inconvenience caused due to this natural occurrence is very much regretted,” it stated.
