The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that its passport application website, passport.mfa.gov.gh, is temporarily unavailable due to technical difficulties. In a notice issued on Tuesday, August 25, the Ministry explained that the disruption is affecting customers who are trying to access the platform to apply for passports.
“The website for passport applications, passport.mfa.gov.gh, is currently experiencing technical issues and is, therefore, temporarily down,” the Ministry stated. They also mentioned that their technical team is collaborating with the National Signals Bureau to restore the website as quickly as possible.
“Our technical team is diligently working with the National Signals Bureau to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” the statement added. The Ministry apologized for any inconvenience this outage may have caused to the public: “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this issue has caused.” They assured the public that updates would be provided once the technical problem has been resolved.
