Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has confirmed that the Black Stars will announce a new head coach by Monday, April 13, 2026. This announcement comes after months of anticipation following the departure of Otto Addo, who stepped down from his role with the national team.
In a recent interview on Channel One TV, Adams stated that discussions with shortlisted candidates are nearly complete. “The process is in its final stages, and we’re just wrapping up a few remaining details. If not by this weekend, then by Monday we should have an official announcement,” Adams said.
The search for a new head coach is crucial for Ghana as the team prepares for the upcoming World Cup. With only a few engagements left to finalize the appointment, Adams remains confident that the new coach will have sufficient time to prepare the team for the global stage
“We’ve come very far in this process. The new coach will have ample time to build a solid squad and strategy for the World Cup,” Adams added.
