GES interdicts Okadjakrom SHTS teacher over alleged sexual misconduct

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has suspended Mr. Mfo Richard Tibetor, a teacher at Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region, due to allegations of sexual misconduct involving a female student. In a statement issued on Thursday, October 2, GES expressed concern over a disturbing video circulating on social media that allegedly implicates Mr. Tibetor.

Management described his actions as unacceptable, unethical, and a clear violation of the professional code of conduct for teachers. As a result, Mr. Tibetor has been suspended and barred from entering the school premises while further investigations are conducted.

GES assured parents, guardians, and the general public that the safety and protection of students remain its top priority. It emphasized that any teacher found guilty of actions that compromise the dignity and well-being of students will face the full consequences of the law, in accordance with the GES Code of Conduct. The statement, signed by Daniel Feny, Head of Public Relations at GES, reaffirmed the service’s commitment to maintaining discipline, professionalism, and child protection across all schools in the country.
