The Ministry of Education has postponed the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, 2026. The adjustment follows appeals from parents, guardians, students, and Heads of Schools for more time to complete the submission and uploading of student data to the platforms of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the CSSPS.
According to Ministry figures, nearly 20,000 qualified students still have outstanding school choices that have not been uploaded. The extension is intended to ensure these students are not excluded from the placement process. It will allow all eligible candidates to finalise the necessary procedures for admission into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
The Ministry has strongly urged stakeholders to take advantage of the extended period to submit all pending information before the new deadline. It reaffirmed its commitment to a fair, transparent, and efficient placement process that guarantees equal opportunity for every qualified student to pursue further education.
