Court dismisses Bernard Mornah’s disqualification appeal

The High Court has dismissed an application from Bernard Mornah, the flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), seeking to overturn the Electoral Commission’s decision to disqualify him from participating in the upcoming presidential election.

The court’s ruling, issued on Monday, October 21, leaves Mornah without any legal option to contest his disqualification. This decision further complicates the PNC’s efforts as the December polls approach.

The application aimed to reverse a decision by the Electoral Commission to disqualify him based on issues surrounding his nomination forms. Mornah’s disqualification sparked discussions within the political landscape, raising questions about the fairness of the electoral process and the role of the Electoral Commission.
