The Amasaman High Court has postponed the appeal hearing of former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah—widely known as Nana Agradaa—until February 5, 2026, when judgment will be delivered. Agradaa is contesting her conviction and 15-year prison sentence handed down on July 3, 2025, for charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence. She maintains that the trial was unfair, the evidence did not justify the verdict, and the sentence was unduly harsh.
Following Wednesday’s proceedings on January 21, 2026, her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, told Citi News that the adjournment stemmed from the Attorney-General’s failure to comply with prior court directives due to technical difficulties with electronic evidence. He noted that the defence opposed a request for an extension of time, after which the court scheduled February 5, 2026, for judgment, while granting the Attorney-General’s Office the option to submit written addresses if necessary.
Mr. Baffour also disclosed that the presiding judge cautioned the media against inaccurate reporting of court proceedings, urging journalists to verify facts with the court registry or legal representatives to ensure accurate coverage. The court is expected to deliver its judgment on February 5, 2026.
