The Presidency of Ghana has announced that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make an official two-day visit to Ghana from Wednesday, July 2, to Thursday, July 3, 2025. This visit highlights the strong and longstanding relationship between the two nations and aims to reinforce their strategic partnership.
According to a statement released by the Presidency, Prime Minister Modi’s itinerary includes a bilateral meeting with President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidential Palace. The discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, agriculture, technology, education, healthcare, and energy.
The leaders will also address regional and global issues of mutual interest.A significant aspect of the visit will be the signing of several bilateral agreements designed to strengthen collaboration between Ghana and India. Following this signing ceremony, President Mahama and Prime Minister Modi will hold a joint press conference.
Additionally, President Mahama will honour the Indian leader with a State Dinner for Prime Minister Modi and his delegation. The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, emphasised that the visit is expected to “strengthen bilateral ties, foster deeper economic cooperation, and solidify the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Ghana and India.”
