In a statement signed by WAEC Head of Public Affairs John Kapi, the council revealed that it withheld the full results of 348 candidates and subject results of 469 others due to alleged examination malpractice, including impersonation, collusion, and attempts to bring unauthorised materials into exam halls.

These results will either be released or cancelled following the conclusion of investigations. The Council also issued a stern warning against fraudsters who contact candidates promising to upgrade results for a fee through mobile money.

“WAEC’s results database is well secured, and all results can be authenticated. Institutions and organisations are advised to verify results presented to them directly from WAEC or access the confirmation/verification service online at the WAEC website,” the statement said. Candidates can check their provisional results online at www.waecgh.org.

Those with withheld results are advised to visit https://irreg.waec.org for details on the reasons for withholding and instructions on the next steps. WAEC concluded by thanking all stakeholders – supervisors, invigilators, examiners, and others – for their contributions to the successful administration of the examination and the timely release of results.
