The Mantse Palace No.1 polling station in the Odododiodio constituency, has witnessed tension and disagreement resulting in a male voter sustaining a head injury during a heated scuffle. In a viral video, the injured man is seen bleeding profusely while being surrounded by concerned onlookers. Despite his injuries, he appeared agitated and unrelenting, prompting others to escort him away from the scene to prevent further confrontation with his alleged aggressor.
According to Christian Yalley, a TV3 reporter on the ground, an alleged NPP supporter accused the NDC official of relocating the voter register to an unauthorized area where voting wasn’t taking place.
While the official attempted to explain her actions, confusion erupted, leading to a physical altercation. The NPP supporter involved in the scuffle has since been taken to the police station for questioning. Odododiodio has long been identified as a hotspot for election-related violence, and this incident has only heightened concerns about security in the constituency.
Earlier in the day, complaints emerged from voters about faint ink on b allot papers, sparking fears of potential vote invalidation. The Electoral Commission (EC), however, moved swiftly to address these concerns, assuring voters that all ballots cast will be accounted for accurately.
