Data suggest that coming in contact with these harmful chemicals can decrease your chances of conceiving by up to 29 per cent. So, when you go grocery shopping, look for items that are free from PCBs, phthalates and furan as they are commonly linked with infertility. These chemicals are found in household cleaning and beauty products.

When the topic of stress comes up we often brush it under the rug, considering it a part of modern-day life. But when you and your partner are trying to conceive, you must keep your stress level in check. Stress is one of the lesser-known contributors to infertility but can have a severe impact. The rise in the level of stress hormones can suppress the reproductive system in both men and women, making it difficult to get pregnant.

Unprotected sex increases the chances of getting sexually transmitted diseases that can be dangerous to your life if left untreated. Infertility is just one of the consequences of it. Many STDs don’t show symptoms in their early stages but can block the reproductive tract if not treated. As compared to men, women are at higher risk of infertility due to STDs.
Excessive coffee intake
If you sip three to four cups of coffee in a day then it’s high time to cut down the caffeine intake. Excessive coffee intake can impair sperm production. For women, the consequences are even more serious. It can even be more dangerous for women suffering from infertility issues and can also double the risk of miscarriage. Do not drink more than 2 cups of coffee in a day and the quantity should not be more than 250 ml.
