The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has announced new appointments within the Ghana Police Service, reassigning senior officers to various directorates and regional commands. In a statement issued on March 19, 2025, the Public Affairs Directorate of the Police Service said that the changes take immediate effect.

Mr Yohuno was appointed IGP by President John Dramani Mahama on March 13, 2025, and sworn into office the following day. He succeeded Dr George Akuffo Dampare, who led the service from October 2021 until his departure. During his swearing-in at Jubilee House, President Mahama urged Mr Yohuno to strengthen law enforcement efforts and uphold public safety.
