SHS 2 Student Dead Days After Being Brutally Beaten By His Teacher

An 18 years old student, Samuel Abeka has met his untimely death days after he was beaten severely by a teacher in his school. Samuel is an SHS 2 student of Larteh Presby Senior High Technical.

According to his grandfather Stephen Mensah, on Sunday, he had travelled to Kumasi when a friend of his sent him an image of his grandson after he had been beaten severely by his teacher. The boy had several marks on his body and had returned home to Accra from school sick.

His grandfather returned to Accra days later to find his grandson bedridden in a Clinic in Accra. Two days afterwards he died. The grandfather marched to the school to face the authorities of the school. The school authorities tried to convince him to treat the case cordially between the school authorities and the family but Stephen Mensah did not give in to that.

He reported the case to the Police and the body of the young boy has been taken to the police hospital. An autopsy will be conducted to determine whether he died as a result of the brutal beatings or if something else killed him.
