Parliament passes 2025 Appropriation Bill

Parliament has passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill, which authorizes the government to spend GHC293 billion from the consolidated fund and other public funds for the financial year 2025. This bill outlines the total estimated expenditures for the government in 2025, including GHC 68 billion allocated for wages and salaries and GHC 13 billion designated for the payment of arrears.

In his remarks on the approval of the bill, the First Deputy Speaker, Bernard Ahiafor, stated, “Honorable members, the Appropriation Bill for 2025 has now been read for the third time and is accordingly passed.”
