Nine wood workers perish in road accident at Mim

Nine workers from the Infix Wood Processing Company in Mim, Ahafo Region, tragically lost their lives in an accident on the Goaso-Mim road. Additionally, an unspecified number of employees at the plywood-producing company were injured to varying degrees.

It was a head-on collision that involved the company’s bus with registration number AC 775-24 and a tipper truck on Friday morning. The bus was transporting the workers to the workplace when the accident occurred at the section of the road.

It is, however, unclear the number of workers, who were on the bus. Graphic Online has gathered that the victims were rushed to the Goaso Government Hospital for treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the same hospital mortuary for preservation
