The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced a temporary disruption to its registration services nationwide due to network connectivity challenges affecting its telecommunications providers. In a public notice issued on Thursday, June 11, the Authority said the challenges have impacted the delivery of registration services across the country.
“The National Identification Authority (NIA) wishes to inform the general public that our telecommunication providers are currently experiencing network connectivity challenges. These challenges are affecting registration services nationwide,” the statement said. The Authority apologised for the inconvenience caused and assured the public that efforts are underway to resolve the issue.
According to the NIA, its technical team is working closely with the telecommunications providers to restore normal services as quickly as possible. “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. Our technical team is working diligently with the telecommunication providers to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” the Authority stated. The NIA appealed to the public for patience and understanding while the problem is being addressed. It further assured Ghanaians that registration services would resume immediately after the network challenges had been resolved.
