Pete Edochie

Pete Edochie, a veteran actor in Nollywood, recently stated that any man who can handle a woman is capable of governing a nation. He made this statement on Friday in honour of International Women’s Day (IWD). Additionally, on March 8, which is also his 77th birthday, the actor praised women for their crucial roles in family units.

Pete Edochie stressed that a woman’s strength rests in her “tongue”. Speaking in a video posted on his official social media page, Edochie noted that any man who hits women out of provocation does not qualify to be a man. He said while women are not the easiest to be with, they turn a house into a home when they get into it.

On my 77th birthday, the world was also celebrating International Women’s Day. Thus, I would like to take this moment to congratulate all the amazing women out there. A house may be just a building, but it becomes a home only when a woman puts her heart and soul into it. A woman’s strength lies in her words, and she has the power to make things happen just by speaking them into existence.

“If a woman provokes you and you strike her, you do not qualify to be called a man. But if you can cope with a woman, you can run a local government, you can run a country. I want to tell you that. “So congratulations to all the women. Keep it up. You make us proud. You take care of our children.” Edochie has appeared in more than 200 films during his nearly four-decade acting career notably among them are ‘Things Fall Apart’ and ‘Living with Death’.
