Haruna Iddrisu, Sukparu survive road accident in Upper West

The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, and the Deputy Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, are reported to be in stable condition following a road traffic accident involving their convoy on the Bolgatanga–Tumu road on Thursday, February 12.

A statement issued by Hashmin Mohammed, Press Secretary to the Education Minister, explained that the ministers were en route to official engagements marking the 40th anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education in the Upper West Region when the incident occurred.

“All members of the convoy are currently in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical attention,” the statement assured. The Office of the Education Minister also expressed gratitude to emergency responders, health professionals, and members of the public for their swift support, adding that further updates will be provided as necessary.
