The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced a significant reshuffle involving several senior personnel, including Programme Managers and Deputy Directors from across the country. These reassignments, which will take effect on May 19, 2025, were detailed in an official notice signed by the Acting Director-General of the GHS, Professor Samuel Kaba Akoriyea. According to the GHS, these changes aim to enhance efficiency and foster a responsive, well-coordinated health system nationwide.
“This reassignment is part of a broader national strategy to strengthen the health system. You are therefore requested to supervise the proper handing over and release the Managers and Deputy Directors concerned to their new stations by the given date and communicate dates of assumption of duty to this Office,” he stated. The reshuffle affects 13 senior officials, including regional directors, programme managers, and medical superintendents.
