The situation reportedly began with an alleged verbal attack on the Prophet Mohammed by the Christian cleric, followed by the circulation of a video in which a Muslim cleric was allegedly heard inciting violence against those who speak against the Prophet. The Council noted that both clerics have since been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
