President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Sammy Gyamfi as the acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC). Gyamfi’s new role comes with an important responsibility: he is tasked with overseeing the establishment of GOLDBOD, a new entity focused on gold trading.
The announcement was shared by Felix Kwakye Ofosu on his X handle, emphasizing Gyamfi’s new role and the confidence placed in him to lead this ambitious project. GOLDBOD is expected to significantly enhance Ghana’s gold trading capacity, solidifying the nation’s position in the global mineral market. Sammy Gyamfi, currently the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is renowned for his communication skills.
His appointment to PMMC signifies a strategic move by the Mahama administration to optimize the marketing of Ghana’s mineral resources and strengthen the gold sector.
