IEA to host First 2024 Presidential debate in Accra on October 22

The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has announced that its first presidential debate will take place on October 22, 2024, and the second presidential debate will be held on November 19, 2024. The IEA also stated that it has scheduled two Presidential Debates, one Vice Presidential Debate, and five Evening Encounters leading up to the December 7 polls.

The Vice Presidential debate will also come off on November 5, 2024. The first out of the five evening encounters will happen on Wednesday, September 18 with the last expected to happen on Tuesday, October 15.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has already stated that the party’s flagbearer will not be part of the debate due to concerns raised about the credibility of the organisers.
