The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released the postings for 106,223 university graduates for the 2024/2025 service year, which marks the beginning of their mandatory national service. The postings include Ghanaian graduates from accredited universities, as well as Ghanaians who completed studies abroad, defaulters, and private applicants. Here’s a detailed guide on how to validate and complete your registration for the service year.
Step 1: Check Your Placement
To begin the process, log onto the National Service Authority’s official website at http://www.nss.gov.gh. Once on the site, check for your placement by following the instructions.
Step 2: Print Your Appointment Letter
After confirming your posting, print a copy of your appointment letter. You will need this letter to proceed to your assigned organisation for endorsement.
Step 3: Get Your Appointment Letter Endorsed
Take your appointment letter to the User Agency (the organisation you’ve been posted to) for endorsement. The letter must be signed and stamped by either the Head of the Organisation or the Human Resource Director.
Step 4: Book an Appointment for Registration
After your appointment letter has been endorsed, return to the National Service website to book an appointment for your registration. Choose a date and time to visit the regional validation centre.
Step 5: Complete Your Registration and Validation
Proceed to the Regional Validation and Registration Centre on your booked date. Bring your endorsed appointment letter and a valid Ghana Card to complete the validation process. You will be issued a Regional Acceptance Number (RAN) at the end of the process.
Step 6: Print a New Appointment Letter
Once validated, print a new appointment letter that includes your RAN. Make three photocopies of this letter:
– Submit one copy to the District Office of the National Service Authority.
– Give one copy to your User Agency.
– Keep the final copy for your personal records.
Key Dates
– Validation and registration will begin on Thursday, September 12, 2024, and will close on Monday, September 30, 2024.
– The 2024/2025 National Service Year officially begins on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
