‘Word in Action Church’ Worshippers Trapped As Church Building Collapses At Old Bortianor

Frantic rescue operations are underway to recover bodies, if any, trapped under a three-storey church building in Bortianor in the Greater Accra Region. The building collapsed on Tuesday, May 9.

There are fears some church members were in the building when the disaster struck. Personnel from the Ghana Police Service were spotted at the scene while reinforcement has been called from the Ghana National Fire Service and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).
