Four individuals have been arrested in Tema for possessing 315 compressed parcels of suspected Indian hemp, which were concealed in vehicle tires. The suspects, identified as Nura Sali, 44; Pius Chukwuma, 49; Mustapha Umar, 18; and Abdulai Amayau, 23, were apprehended in the Tema Industrial Area by the Tema Community 1 District Police.

The parcels were hidden inside the tires of a truck with the registration number GN 7291-16, which was intercepted during a police operation. According to a police statement, the suspects appeared before the Ashaiman Circuit Court on Thursday, September 11, 2025, and have been remanded into police custody. They are scheduled to reappear in court on September 30, 2025.

The truck, bearing registration number GN 7291-16, which was used to transport the suspected narcotics, has also been impounded by court order pending further investigation.
