The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has named internationally acclaimed musician Wiyaala as Ghana’s Global Ambassador for Fugu during a colourful ceremony in Funsi, Upper West Region.

Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, praised Wiyaala for her long-standing dedication to promoting Ghanaian culture through music, fashion and performance, describing her as a symbol of hope, resilience and pride.

The Minister emphasised the importance of supporting made-in-Ghana products, noting that every thread woven into Fugu tells the story of Ghana’s identity and resilience while creating opportunities for weavers, designers and local entrepreneurs. Receiving the honour, Wiyaala pledged to use her new role to project Ghanaian culture to the world and make the nation proud.
