Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang returned home this afternoon from London, United Kingdom, where she had travelled for medical treatment. She was welcomed at the airport by President John Dramani Mahama, First Lady Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, the Vice President’s Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia, and other senior government officials.

At the airport, the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church and family members of the Vice President were also present. In her brief remarks, the Vice President expressed her gratitude to Ghanaians for their prayers. She thanked her doctors and the medical staff at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) and acknowledged the support, thoughtfulness, and care provided by President Mahama and his younger brother, Ibrahim.
